A 2010 body painting calendar to support wounded veterans and their children

In 2007, while donating some time to face paint for a Dreams for Kids event which launched Tom Touhy’’s inspirational book, I met a disabled veteran from Iraq who had lost both legs and an arm. Yet his spirit was strong and he wanted to make a difference, to be an inspiration, to kids with disabilities. I was moved. I wanted to do more!
After much thought and discussion with my family, friends and some returning vets, I decided to use my skills as a bodyartist to create a unique calendar: One that focuses on the military with a majority of the proceeds going back to help the men and women who came back from America’s wars with injuries that disabled them.
Since November of 2008, my family and I have been working diligently to find models, photographers, market the calendar, create the artwork, etc. We are committed to raising enough funds to make a significant different to America’s Heroes.
